Star Trek Online

So i’ve been playing in the Open Beta for Star Trek Online, and I have to say so far I am very impressed. I’ve played some other Cryptic made games before and none of them struck my fancy, but STO is really doing it for me. Maybe it’s because i’m getting sick of the fantasy genre (You can only kill so many orcs and kobolds in your life) and looking for something new, or maybe it’s my repressed liking of the original Star Trek and TNG coming out of me. Maybe the space genre is primed for a new game (sorry EVE, you are WAY to niche and time consuming for most people). I will be posting some screen shots when the server gets back up from crashing <LOL>.
Updates – I Suck

I suck at updates this blog. I really do. Between playing stuff like Forza 3, Torchlight, and back to playing World of Warcraft (the new LFG tool is awesome!), and not to mention finding time to work, I just haven’t been updating.
But I am now Cisco Certified! Well, my CCENT anyways. Still studying for my CCNA.
Trying different things with the site too, just to fiddle around with it. Not that anyone besides me ever comes here anyways, which is fine with me.

Left 4 Dead

Left 4 Dead
To show how behind in the times I am, I just got Left 4 Dead on the PC. Yea, I know what you are saying, Left 4 Dead 2 is coming out soon, and you just now picked up the first one? That’s why I picked it up, I want to be ready for the next one.
So i’ve been going through the single player scenario’s, not wanting to do online yet until I get really familiar with the game. I have say this about the single player, it’s really well done, and really well put together. I can’t tell you how often I would be in the middle of sneaking around a witch and jump when I feel one of the cats brush up against my leg. I have a love/hate relationship with games like this. But overall, I am pretty impressed with what the game gives you, can’t wait to do online soon, hoping there is still some people playing when I do.
