So i’m at work on Sunday nights, as I usually am, but this week is the AFC and NFC Championship playoff games and I found myself compelled to watch them even though I don’t follow any team in them. My Titans are out, so normally I wouldn’t care, but dammit, I want some football. And here is where my delimma starts.

At work, we have two big screen TV’s, but we cannot change the channel on them. I mean, we CAN, but we could get written up and/or fired if we do. So me and my co-workers can’t watch some football today. So I go on a hunt for streaming it on my work computer (which they don’t care about for some reason).

So first off, I go to the usual sites, CBS.com (for the Colts/Jets), Fox (for the Saints/Vikings ), NFL.com, Direct TV (i’m a subscriber).. but no go. I go to the ESPN site, but no go either because i’m not paying for it. I then go some other sites i’ve heard about before Justin.tv and Ustream. Ustream turned me off at first because the first ones I went to didn’t work. Then I went to the Justin.tv site and found a couple of streams, and picked on that looked promising. I was enjoying watching the Colts manhandle the Jets, ignoring the insipid banter in the chat room that you cannot turn off, and then suddenly, the stream stops and goes to a page saying that the stream has been taken offline because of a DMCA takedown. And all the others are like that too. Even the crappy quality ones.

And this goes on for the entire Colts/Jets games, and then into the Saints/Vikings games. In fact, it seems that the DMCA notices came at extremely inoppurtune times, such as at the 2 minute warning in the Saints/Vikings game (I couldn’t find another one working until OT had started).

So here is my plea to the NFL… give us some streaming options, for free. Add in some commercials like the TV shows do. People will watch them.

So some friends finally decided they wanted to play D&D, and i’ve chosen to bring them into the fold with the Living Forgotten Realms campaign under the RPGA flag. I specifically chose this because I am a Herald Level DM even though I have never DM’ed a game before, so this should be interesting.

With the LFR setting, we are in the Aglarond area, so i’m going to be using the Aglarond stuff for their characters, starting with ALGA 1-1.

I suck at updates this blog. I really do. Between playing stuff like Forza 3, Torchlight, and back to playing World of Warcraft (the new LFG tool is awesome!), and not to mention finding time to work, I just haven’t been updating.

But I am now Cisco Certified! Well, my CCENT anyways. Still studying for my CCNA.

Trying different things with the site too, just to fiddle around with it. Not that anyone besides me ever comes here anyways, which is fine with me.

Ok this is prompted by a recent trip. Below is a list of things Jesus would do better than you. Thanks to Krysten who came up with the idea in the first place.

1) Jesus would drive faster than you

2) Jesus wouldn’t talk and drive, he would use a hands free set or a Bluetooth OR JUST NOT DO IT IN THE FIRST PLACE.

3) Jesus would know what lane be wants to be in.

4) Jesus would put down his sandwich, get down off the cross, etc to play air guitar when “Enter Sandman” comes on the radio.

5) Jesus would throw up the devil horns when any song by Black Sabbath comes on.

6) Jesus would not eat bacon flavored ice cream.

So I’m sitting here at work doing my best not to fall asleep or tell a customer they are a fucking idiot to their face. The thing I wish I could tell these people.

Anyways, I think I decided on a site content that I want to have and it’s not much different than what I was doing before, which is stuff about video games and the such. Yea I know there are a ton of those sites out there, but here is the deal: I will only write about games I have played.

So yea that’s my big plan. And I suppose a lot of it will be about world or warcraft too. Bleh. I’m such a sucker.

Sitting here with Krysten watching ghost hunters international. I don’t know why people believe in this stuff.
